robot jox

Vagando en el menú del netflix para ver qué nuevas(?) cosas ofrecía y para aprovechar que en ese entonces aún no pagaba la membresía tratando de encontrar algo que me atrajera me voy topando con esta película que según el rubro en el que se encontraba era acerca de ciencia ficción (algo de lo que me encanta, tanto leer como mirar) y pues según la sinopsis era de una "historia futurista" donde para resolver conflictos se llega a una especia de lucha entre robots pero comandados por humanos.


Al ver esto y no tenía mucho que perder a excepción de mi tiempo invertido en ver esta pues le doy play. Al final de esto pues está algo pasable, además de que es una película muy vieja, de 1989 (tssss!) y bueno con eso pues ya se tiene que los efectos no están tan intensos como estamos acostumbrados en esta época, pero también recordar, que al menos yo soy de la old school así que no le exigía demasido visualmente hablando ...

The film's plot follows Achilles, one of the "robot jox" who pilot giant mechanical machines that fight international battles in a dystopian post-apocalyptic world. Achilles retires after his final contracted battle against his primary rival, Alexander, ends in an inconclusive disaster, but returns when he realizes that a female genetically engineered athlete, Athena, will replace him. Athena attempts to steal the robot and fight against Alexander anyway, and when she is easily defeated, Achilles reclaims his robot to fight. After a prolonged battle, Achilles and Alexander reconcile and salute each other.
